PROGRAMME
Sigur Rós announce their return to Europe with the final dates of their epic world tour, where they will collaborate with local 41-piece orchestras to bring their latest album, ÁTTA, to life, along with the most beloved songs from their catalogue. The final leg of the tour will begin in Edinburgh on August 31, 2026, and will travel through Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, France, Spain and Portugal before concluding with two concerts in Berlin.
In Spain, they will perform on September 11 at the Auditori Fòrum CCIB in Barcelona and on September 15 at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao. In Barcelona they will be accompanied by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, and in Bilbao by the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa.
Tickets for the Barcelona concert will go on sale this Friday, March 20 at 10:00 AM, via doctormusic.com and entradas.com. Prices will range from €64.40 to €178.25.
The final leg of the tour arrives after a particularly fruitful period for the band’s fans. At the beginning of the new decade, the group delved into its archives in search of long-awaited works. First came Odin’s Raven Magic (2020), an orchestral album originally recorded almost two decades earlier and later reissued for its 20th anniversary in 2022. Their first collection of new material in nearly a decade, ÁTTA (2023), leans heavily toward orchestral textures and features a collaboration with the London Contemporary Orchestra. In addition, last September the band released a special 20th-anniversary edition of their acclaimed album Takk…—their debut on a major label and the commercial breakthrough of a band that has never sought the mainstream—remastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound.
With close to ten million albums sold, Sigur Rós stands as one of the most ambitious and acclaimed bands of recent times, and their latest artistic projects point toward a promising and exciting future.
