Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, known as the “Pastoral”, is a masterpiece that captures the beauty of nature and invites us to connect with its soundscapes. Composed between 1802 and 1808, it is one of Beethoven’s most significant symphonies.

The “Pastoral” comprises five enormously captivating and evocative movements. A hymn of gratitude and joy, with memorable melodies that convey the grandeur of nature and our relationship with the world around us. A sublime work that immerses us in an idyllic rural landscape, capturing the beauty of nature and the feelings that it evokes in us. This is an unforgettable musical experience that invites us to connect with our inner selves and with the natural world that surrounds us.

What’s more, the concert includes the premiere at the Palau of one of this year’s guest composers, Elisenda Fàbregas. We’ll listen to ”Accents catalans” by the Catalan composer, who after living and working for much of her career in the USA has now resettled in Catalonia. And we’ll also enjoy the syncopated rhythms of “Cantos y revueltas” by Pacho Flores, through his trumpet and the Venezuelan cuatro of Leo Rondón.
