19 December · 8 pm
Singers Maggie Reilly and Nikki Lamborn, together with Opus One, join forces to revive the very best of Mike Oldfield’s music.
Moonlight Shadow, To France, Family Man, Foreign Affair... are just some of Mike Oldfield’s songs that topped charts all over the world during the 1980s. All these compositions share a common element: the unmistakable voice of Scottish singer Maggie Reilly, an inseparable collaborator during the British composer’s pop era.
By her side, and for the first time in Barcelona, will be Nikki Lamborn, one of the UK’s most renowned rock and blues singers, who will perform several of Oldfield’s other well-known songs, including Earth Moving.
Opus One is a project created to perform Mike Oldfield’s music on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his initial trilogy: Tubular Bells, Hergest Ridge and Ommadawn.
