The OSV brings its music to summer festivals across Catalonia

This summer, the Vallès Symphony Orchestra (OSV) presents six different programmes as part of several prestigious festivals, featuring repertoire ranging from great symphonic works to film music, pop-rock, and lyrical pieces. A proposal for all audiences, aiming to bring symphonic music to diverse and unique stages across the region.

The scheduled concerts are:

Pop Rock Disco Greatest hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s reimagined in Brass Band Ensemble.

• - Santa Cristina d’Aro – Espai Ridaura (3 August)

The Music of Kubrick A tribute to the soundtracks used by filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, featuring music by Strauss, Beethoven, Xostakovitx or The Rolling Stones among others.

• - Puigcerdà – Cerdanya Film Festival (5 August)

Cinema Heroes Iconic superhero soundtracks, from Avengers to Superman, in Brass Quintet.

• - Puigcerdà – Cerdanya Film Festival (10 August)

Western Music The unforgettable scores of the Wild West, with works by Morricone, Bernstein and Tiomkin.

• - Puigcerdà – Festival de Música de la Cerdanya (8 August)

Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 Featuring pianist Albert Guinovart and conductor Xavier Puig. The programme also includes Symphony num. 6 "Pathetique" by Tchaikovsky.

• - Puigcerdà – Festival de Música de la Cerdanya (15 August)

Serena Sáenz & OSV The acclaimed soprano performs opera arias and zarzuela excerpts with the OSV, conducted by Oliver Diaz.

• - Torroella de Montgrí – Festival de Torroella de Montgrí (14 August)

With this summer tour, the OSV continues its mission to bring symphonic music to all corners of the territory and connect with audiences through accessible and innovative formats.
