The best video game music returns to the Palau de la Música Catalana, performed by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès

"Videogames, in concert" returns to the Palau de la Música Catalana, offering a total experience that will transport the audience into the fascinating world of video games through their music, performed by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès (OSV). The concert, with two performances at 5:30 PM and 9:00 PM, will take place on April 5 at the Palau de la Música Catalana in collaboration with Games&Symphonies.

This unique show presents a musical journey through some of the most iconic video game soundtracks, performed live by the OSV under the direction of Adrián Ronda. Additionally, the concert will feature projections of images related to the video game universe, creating an immersive audiovisual experience. The Cor Jove Amics de la Unió (Dir. Marta Dosaiguas) will also participate, adding its vocal strength to some of the performed pieces.

Video games have become one of the most influential and innovative cultural industries of our time, captivating millions of people worldwide. Their soundtracks have evolved into true musical masterpieces, with renowned composers creating scores of a quality comparable to that of cinema. This concert highlights this artistic richness, demonstrating how video game music can be just as evocative and powerful as any other musical expression.

The program includes pieces from some of the most iconic video games, such as Fallout, Hollow Knight, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Civilization, Assassin's Creed, Ori, Hades, Starfield, and Neva, among others yet to be revealed, offering attendees an experience that blends the power of symphonic music with the nostalgia and excitement of the most popular video games.

Additionally, the concert will feature special guests, composers, and performers of some of the soundtracks, adding extra value to the event and giving the audience the opportunity to enjoy the music directly from its creators. Confirmed guests for April 5 at the Palau de la Música include Austin Wintory (Assassin’s Creed, Journey), Berlinist (Neva), and Mentrix (Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown).

Following the success of its debut last season, this year the concert returns with a renewed musical program and two performances to meet the high audience demand: at 5:30 PM and 9:00 PM.

With this concert, the OSV and the Palau de la Música Catalana reaffirm their commitment to innovation and the diversification of formats, bringing symphonic music to new audiences and showcasing its ability to explore new artistic territories.
