To the heads of the schools of music and conservatories of El Vallès,

Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès is starting a new phase and is looking to make many changes, ranging from the format of its concerts to its local relations. All the changes have been marked by a strategic plan in which we have sought to show the importance of a new form of relations with the institutional and musical environment. An orchestra's life must run parallel to those of other institutions associated with the local teaching of music and, consequently, we have invited you to this meeting.

We will now provide you with information about the 5 lines of action that may be used to strengthen these relations and which we hope will contribute to creating additional options for training our young musicians.

These lines, which we explain in detail below, are as follows:

1. the possibility of attending the OSV’s rehearsals (OSV: Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès), not in the seats, but rather in the orchestra itself;

2. negotiating group discounts for the OSV's concerts during the Sabadell season (Teatro Principal and Teatro Municipal La Farándula);

3. taking part with our musicians in a season of chamber music;

4. taking part in the creation of a Young Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès;

5. receiving information about the master classes and other activities that are organised at the OSV’s centre, opening up a new form of relations with guest artistes.

The following are details of our proposals and we would also ask you to let us know what you expect of an orchestra such as "La Simfónica" and how we might contribute to the development of your teaching project.
